There is a lot you can do with the powerful My Screen Sniper application for Windows. You can take a screenshot of the whole screen, a region of the screen, a window, a webpage, or the webcam. You can also make a video recording of the full screen, a region of the screen, or a window. Audio is not neglected either – the application can also record audio. On top of that, My Screen Sniper can be used to edit captures and to share them.

The My Screen Sniper installation file is close to 20MB in size. Run this file and you will be presented with a setup wizard that will guide you through the installation process. You can install the application on anything from XP or Server 2003 up to Windows 7 and 8. The whole thing will go along smoothly and won’t take long to complete.

Run My Screen Sniper and you will be presented with a quick bar and a system tray icon. By default, the quick bar is positioned at the top of your desktop; hover your mouse over it and you will be presented with the various capture functions My Screen Sniper has to offer. Speaking about that, right click the system tray icon and you will also be presented with the application's capture functions.

You can access the application’s main interface from the quick bar or from the system tray icon (by double clicking it). The application’s capture functions are nicely grouped into three sections and buttons for these sections are presented to the left. From the image section you can choose if you want to take a screenshot of the whole screen, a region, a fixed size, a window, the webcam, or a webpage. From the video section you can choose if you want to record the whole screen, a fixed size, a region, or a video. And from the audio section you can launch the audio recording process. Whatever you capture can be edited with the same application and it can be shared with others.

Spy Monitor is an interesting feature My Screen Sniper has to offer – it’s interesting because it allows you to monitor computer usage. It runs in the background and automatically takes screenshots at specific intervals of time.

You have 30 days at your disposal to use My Screen Sniper for free and evaluate the functionality it has to offer.

My Screen Sniper covers all your screen capture, editing, and sharing needs. It’s a powerful, must have tool!

Pros

It will take little time and effort to get My Screen Sniper up and running. Access the application’s functionality from the main interface, from the quick bar, from the system tray icon, or by using hotkeys. Use My Screen Sniper to take screenshots, to capture audio, and to capture video; edit and share your captures. Stealthily monitor computer usage with the Spy Monitor feature.

Cons

Free to use for a 30-day period.
